The infinite scroll is the worst when it comes to the short form videos. No matter how much I try to avoid it myself (primarily using YouTube here), still somehow it finds a way to pull you in. I wish they'd let you disable it, but that'll go against all of their engagement goals. Nice to have a name for this now!

You can turn off autoplay in YouTube so it doesn't automatic go to the next video unless you are in a playlist.

Thanks, I’ll try that. Shorts is the one that really gets me though, and I don’t think autoplay covers those.
