About this series: I revisit past Sketchplanations that resonated most — ones I keep coming back to, or that taught me something lasting. Each post includes the sketch and some of the story behind how and why I created it.

These behind-the-sketch posts are for paid subscribers interested in learning about the process — the weekly sketches remain free as always.

Complaining at the weather illustration: An adult complains about the rain, the sun and the snow while a child enjoy all three
Of course, it helps that the adult is there to wash the clothes, do the sunscreen and warm the children afterwards. Prints of this.

As Norwegians say: Det finnes ikke dårlig vær, bare dårlig klær, which loosely translates as, “There’s no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothes.”
