While transiting through Seoul airport in 2015 new year's day, I found this op-ed in Korea Times.

The word "jaksimsamil" roughly meaning "one makes up his mind (to do something) but it lasts

only three days." The killer line at the end of the article...

"A resolution good for three days can be rather good because three days can at some point become 365 days."

This is something I tell myself when I'm doing something that's uncomfortable but good for me (like exercise or breaking a bad habit). "I can do anything for 3 days (not each X food or drink), or 3 hours (put the mobile away), or 3 mins (keep up a hard pace on Peloton)."
